Maison Burkart is a styling-led interior design studio founded by Sierra Burkart, specializing in the art of layering, sourcing, and collecting for the home. After years spent styling homes across the country, Sierra founded Maison Burkart with a desire to create interiors that feel deeply personal to the people who inhabit them.

Drawing from a background in residential interiors, editorial styling, photoshoot production, and visual storytelling, Sierra approaches a home through both the larger composition and the smallest details, art, objects, textiles, books, and pieces gathered through travel, inheritance, and everyday life.

Rather than designing toward a prescribed aesthetic, Sierra begins with the client, the way they live, what they are drawn to, where they’ve been, what they collect, and the things they want to remember. Through thoughtful sourcing, styling, and design, she creates homes that feel considered, collected, and unmistakably personal.

Sierra’s approach was shaped early by the collected homes she grew up around, particularly her grandfather’s, a pink stucco desert castle filled with art, artifacts, and objects gathered throughout an extraordinary life. He had lived in France, spoke French throughout his adult life, and created a home that reflected a lifetime of experience and curiosity. You could walk through his rooms and understand something about the person who lived there.

Sierra is drawn to the details that make people themselves: a book they return to, a place they spend every summer, an inherited object, a beloved hobby, or something discovered together in an antique shop. Her love of antiques, art, writing, travel, and thoughtful sourcing all inform the work, but personal connection is at its center. Maison Burkart creates homes that don’t simply reflect a style, but the lives lived within them, places, people, objects and memories that make a home entirely its own.
